Embracing Life After Recovery: The Aware Alumni Network

Aware alumni gathering

Completing Aware Recovery Care’s yearlong program is a significant milestone, but it’s just the beginning of a lifelong journey. Transitioning from structured care to independent recovery can be challenging, but Aware ensures that support doesn’t vanish when you “graduate.” When you complete your treatment, you’ll have the warm and welcoming fellowship of Aware’s Alumni network available to you.

What is the Aware Alumni Network?

The Aware Alumni community is a network of former clients who have completed the program and now seek camaraderie in their continued recovery journey. This community is free to members and offers a safe environment where people can connect virtually and in person.

Benefits of the Alumni Community

The Alumni community provides numerous opportunities to:

  • Build connections with others in recovery: Forge meaningful relationships with individuals who understand your journey.
  • Share experiences, resources, and community support: Exchange valuable insights and support one another.
  • Attend events, socialize, have fun, and network: Participate in a variety of activities designed to foster connection and enjoyment.
  • Give back with volunteer opportunities: Contribute to the community and help others on their recovery paths.
  • Help yourself and others sustain a safe, healthy lifestyle

Exciting Alumni Events

Alumni events are thoughtfully designed to meet the needs and interests of members in various regions. These events often include:

  • Weekly virtual meetings: Stay connected and supported regardless of your location.
  • In-person activities: Enjoy hikes, bowling, and other fun outings.
  • Social gatherings: Join pizza nights, picnics, or BBQs to relax and socialize.
  • Mindfulness and meditation practice groups: Cultivate inner peace and resilience.
  • Yoga: Enhance physical and mental well-being through guided sessions.
  • Sound healing: Experience the therapeutic benefits of sound.
  • Peer education groups: Learn and grow through shared knowledge.
  • Speakers: Gain inspiration and insights from guest speakers.
  • Donation and volunteer drives: Give back to the community.
  • Private Facebook group: Connect with fellow alumni online.
  • Networking platforms: Build professional and personal networks.
  • Ambassador and peer support roles: Take leadership roles and support others.

Aware Recovery Care’s Alumni network ensures that the sense of community and support continues well beyond the completion of the program. Whether you want to build connections, share experiences, attend engaging events, or give back, the Alumni community is here for you. Embrace the journey with the ongoing support of Aware’s Alumni network and thrive in your continued recovery.
