Michael Seaver serves as Aware Recovery Care’s Corporate Director of Operations. Prior to Aware, Mr. Seaver was the Detox Director for a Southeast Connecticut Agency for three years and worked as a master’s Level clinician at a long-term residential care unit for men. Mr. Seaver is a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in the State of Connecticut, holding a master’s degree in Psychology awarded by Central Connecticut State University. Mr. Seaver has also been awarded a family development certificate from the University of Connecticut.

Prior to his entrance into the substance abuse field in 2009, Mr. Seaver found success in the hospitality industry as a restaurateur, operating several restaurants throughout Connecticut and landing in Hartford for the final 20 years of his restaurant career. Mr. Seaver was awarded achievement recognitions while in Hartford, highlighted by the inaugural Hartford Business Journal’s Small Business Person of the Year in 1996. Mr. Seaver is an amateur athlete who enjoys swimming and long distance biking. Mr. Seaver enjoys the companionship of his wife of 15 years and is father of two adult children, stepfather to his wife’s two sons, and is the proud grandfather of his daughter’s three children. Mr. Seaver has enjoyed personal recovery for over 30 years, sharing his experience with anyone who wishes to transition into a life of sobriety.
