Family Education Liaison

Cathy Nolan (Quigley) is the Family Education Liaison for the New Hampshire Aware Recovery Care agency. Starting as a Certified Recovery Advisor in the Connecticut agency, Cathy has helped to make a number of enhancements in both locations including the development of the Crisis Prevention Department and implementation of the Family Wellness Program in New Hampshire. In her current role, Cathy focuses on the coordination of Family Education Facilitators to ensure delivery of the Family Education Program to client allies in need. Maintaining her direct connection to clients and allies, she remains active in the field delivering the Family Education Program as well.

Cathy believes it is important that families and loved ones receive education on addiction because not only are the clients recovering, but the families and allies are as well. She firmly believes in the In-Home Addition Treatment model and the “home as the treatment center” concept it thrives on. Cathy has 31 years of lived recovery experience and is very grateful to be able to share her experience, strength, and hope with others in need. She lives in Vermont with her husband in a beautiful home in the mountains.
