Aware’s in-home withdrawal management program
If you struggle with addiction, the fear of experiencing withdrawal symptoms can keep you using or drinking long after you want to stop.
Aware Recovery Care’s In-Home Withdrawal Management (IHWM) program gives you the ability to take the first step to recovery, safely and in the comfort of your own home.
We offer truly individualized detox care, delivered without the need to travel to a clinic or hospital—along with increased privacy and one-on-one attention from our expertly trained care teams.
Is in-home detox available near you?
At this time, Aware Recovery Care is providing in-home withdrawal management (detox) in Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Virginia. We plan to add this treatment option in all states we serve as soon as possible.
Access to care is determined by a clinical assessment and a client’s location within each state.
Clients that are eligible for In-Home Withdrawal Management need to enroll in the Aware program. In-Home Withdrawal Management is not offered as a stand-alone service.

How it all works:
Client and staff safety is our top priority during the in-home detox process.

When you call to speak to one of our care specialists you will complete an assessment to determine your eligibility.

If the clinical team determines you are eligible for in-home detox, we will get you started as soon as possible.

During detox treatment, twice-daily visits by a nurse include ongoing medical assessments, urine drug analysis, and a customized regimen of medications and/or therapies to address individual withdrawal symptoms.

Detox treatment can take on average 5-7 days.
Highly effective non-drug detox option for:
- Suboxone
- Methadone
- Fentanyl
- Heroin
- Prescription Painkillers
Non-drug detox options are available for opioid use disorder. In some cases, Aware Recovery Care uses an exceptionally effective, FDA-cleared, wearable device that reduces the physical and emotional withdrawal symptoms experienced by those suffering from opioid use disorder.
