Marlene Dolat, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC| Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Marlene is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience working with clients. She is a graduate of the Yale University School of Nursing program in New Haven, CT in 2011 and furthered her education in 2020 by receiving a certificate specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health from the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT. During her years of practice she developed an appreciation for physical health and it’s relation to our behavioral health, worked for several years in a Sleep Center to develop a better understanding of sleep related issues and their impact on our health and has worked with and actively treats patient’s in the recovery community. Ms. Dolat’s belief is that treatment should be developed around an individual’s comfort levels and it should be a professional partnership based on trust and mutual respect. On initial assessment, a plan for treatment will be discussed and an initial treatment goal will be agreed upon. This goal will be discussed and re-evaluated through continuous follow up sessions. By utilizing a caring and informed approach.

Katrina McCurdy, PMHNP-BC | Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Katrina is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 10 years of experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, as well as addiction treatment. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Rivier University in New Hampshire, where she developed a comprehensive understanding of mental health care, including evidence-based treatments for both psychiatric and substance use disorders.

Katrina has worked with a diverse range of populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, addressing various mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and co-occurring disorders. Her extensive experience in addiction treatment has further strengthened her ability to support patients through complex challenges, combining medication management, psychotherapy, and recovery-focused approaches. Katrina prides herself on her ability to tailor her approach to meet each individual wherever they are on their recovery journey and integrates therapeutic techniques that align with each client’s unique needs and goals.

Katrina is particularly passionate about health care equity and working with underserved populations within the addiction and correctional communities. She is committed to providing care to individuals who may experience barriers to accessing mental health services, helping them navigate the complexities of addiction and mental illness with dignity and support.

Outside of her professional life, Katrina enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family, believing that a healthy work-life balance is key to providing the best care to her clients

Aiza is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, a board-certified family nurse practitioner, and a certified addiction registered nurse practitioner. Since 2006 she has dedicated her career to advancing the field of health care.

Aiza’s journey into mental health and substance use disorders began with a deep commitment to understanding the complexities of psychiatric care and the intricacies involved in addiction. She firmly believes that recognizing and addressing the individual needs and expectations of each client is paramount to effective care and collaboration. As she continues to contribute to the fields of psychiatry and addiction, she is focused on dismantling barriers to mental health services and advocating for evidence-based treatment approaches. Her goal is to foster an environment where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered on their paths to recovery. She lives by a simple yet profound mantra: “I will always treat my clients as I would want my own family to be treated within the healthcare system.”

Sondra Verser, PMHNP-BC | Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with over 18  years of nursing experience, Sondra has dedicated her career to providing compassionate, evidence-based care, particularly for clients struggling with substance abuse. Throughout her extensive career, she has developed a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health and addiction, and is passionate about helping individuals on their journey to recovery.

With a focus on comprehensive care, she works to create individualized treatment plans that address both the physical and mental health needs of her patients. Sondra’s approach combines empathy, active listening, and evidence-based strategies to empower patients and their families to make meaningful progress toward long-term health and well-being.

Over the years, she has focused her expertise in treating substance use and mental health disorders, utilizing both medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and psychiatric medication management to help individuals achieve lasting recovery. Sondra is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in the field, ensuring that her patients receive the highest quality care.

Steve Guichelaar, PMHNP-BC | Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Steve has been working in addictions for over 10 years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. He received a bachelors of science in psychology from Valparaiso university. He went on to become a nurse as a second career and was able to complete his psychiatric nurse practitioner at Indiana University. Since then he has worked in a variety of settings for addiction medicine. Steve enjoys the clients and working with the underserved populations and vulnerable clients. When he is not working, he enjoys playing music and general handyman work.
